Moriagaranai Date

An Underwhelming Match on a Dating App…

Haida, plagued by nonstop bad luck, downloads a dating app during a spur-of-the-moment “why not?” phase. She ends up matching with Kuroi, a man who joined just as impulsively. Their chat never really flows, and an unmistakably awkward, subdued vibe hangs over every exchange. Nothing seems to go right, leading to a date that’s almost impressively dull.

Surely there won’t be a second date after something like that… or will there? Why are they already planning to meet again!?

A first date with someone you met through an app that completely fails to spark? The dry, offbeat back-and-forth is strangely irresistible. This is a slow, quiet romance that gently takes shape from a dating app match.
